This policy explains what personal information WeAreFreak Ltd (“Freak”, “we”, “us”) collects through wearefreak.com and when you contact us, how we use it and the choices you have.
Who we are
WeAreFreak Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09308352). Our registered office is 22 Ash Avenue, London SE17 1HS. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us about privacy at studio@wearefreak.com.
What we collect
- When you email us. Your name, email address and anything you choose to include, so we can reply and, if we work together, run the project.
- When you visit the site. Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. This keeps the site secure and working.
- Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when the page loads.
We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this site, and we don’t sell personal information.
Why we use it
We use your information to answer enquiries, to provide and improve our services and to keep the site secure. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running and protecting our business and in replying to people who contact us. Where we work together, it is also necessary for our contract with you or your organisation.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the providers who help us run the site and our business, such as our website host and email provider, and only as far as they need it to provide their service. Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where information leaves the UK we rely on the safeguards UK law requires, such as adequacy regulations or the UK’s approved data transfer agreements.
How long we keep it
We keep emails and project records for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or our work together, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Our host keeps its technical logs for a short period before deleting them.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or object to our using it. Where it applies you can also ask us to pass it to you or another organisation. Email studio@wearefreak.com and we’ll reply within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes
We’ll update this policy if the way we use personal information changes, for example if we add a contact form or analytics. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
